Find Accredited Pharmacy Technician Schools in Vermont

Vermont does not currently have any accredited pharmacy analyst schools. It also does not require that their pharmacy experts complete a pharmacy expert training program. However, there are a few pharmacy enthusiast schools in the nearby bordering states for individuals who want to complete training programs to improve their career options and be better prepared for certification. Students who attend school in one of these states will have to pay out-of-state tuition rates. Between New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New York, there are about six pharmacy expert schools students can choose from.

How to Get Certified in Vermont

Although this state does not require their pharmacy analysts be certified, some employers may. Individuals can become certified by taking and passing the Pharmacy Specialists Certification Board certification exam. Certification is good for two years. To recertify, experts need to complete 20 hours of continuing education, with at least one hour being on pharmacy laws.

The National Healthcareer Association also offers the pharmacy expert certification exam. This state does require their pharmacy analysts be registered with the state's Board of Pharmacy. Neither training nor certification is required to be registered as a pharmacy analyst. All that's required is sending in an application for registration.

Salaries for Certified Pharmacy Technicians in Vermont

Although wages for certified pharmacy analysts may vary throughout the state, their mean annual wage was $30,160 in 2012, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. During that year, there were only 650 pharmacy experts employed in the state.
